PS12ce 12-Fret Honduran Rosewood
PS12ce 12-Fret Honduran Rosewood
This version of our Presentation Series Grand Concert guitar adds unique appeal to the already-smooth feel with a 12-fret configuration (instead of 14) that brings the player’s hands a little closer together and offers a slinkier feel for fretting notes and chords. A beautifully striped sinker redwood top—sourced from trees formerly submerged in California riverbeds—serves up a tonal character all its own, with cedar-like warmth and soft-touch responsiveness that blend harmoniously with the strong low-end foundation and crisp treble range of the guitar’s Honduran rosewood back and sides. V-Class bracing enhances the tonal output with greater volume and sustain, delivering an in-tune sound without the sour spots along the fretboard that can frustrate guitarists in recording situations. The PS12ce 12-Fret bears visual hallmarks consistent with the Presentation Series’ place at the top of the Taylor line, featuring ebony binding, armrest and backstrap, a 4-piece Simons wedge back that improves long-term stability, paua edge trim and rosette, a gloss-finish body with a shaded edgeburst for the back and sides, and mother-of-pearl and paua inlays for the fretboard, peghead, pickguard and bridge in our California Vine pattern. This model also features slot-head tuners with Crelicam ebony buttons and ES2 electronics for faithful plugged-in tone. It ships with a deluxe Taylor hardshell guitar case.
