Coverage period: This warranty is valid for the lifetime of the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
If a manufacturing defect is confirmed, RJ Custom Shop will repair the instrument or replace the affected component. The appropriate service method will be determined by RJ Custom Shop based on the nature of the defect.

Normal Wear
The following are expected results of regular use and are not considered defects:

Routine Setup Adjustments
Wood responds to temperature and humidity over time. Periodic setup adjustments are a normal part of guitar ownership and are not covered under warranty:

Environmental Conditions
RJ Custom Shop instruments are handcrafted from natural tonewoods that are sensitive to their environment. Each guitar is conditioned at approximately 45–50% relative humidity before shipment. To protect your investment, store and play your guitar in an environment of approximately 40–60% relative humidity.
Damage caused by exposure outside this range is not covered, including:

Fret sprout

Fingerboard shrinkage

Cracks in wood or finish

Glue joint separation

Neck movement caused by humidity fluctuation
A simple room humidifier or guitar-specific humidifier (such as those by D’Addario or Boveda) is the most effective way to protect your guitar, especially in dry climates or during winter months.
Improper Handling or Storage
Damage caused by accidents, impact, water exposure, extreme heat or cold, or improper storage is not covered.
Unauthorized Repairs or Modifications
All warranty service must be authorized in advance by RJ Custom Shop. Repairs or modifications performed without prior authorization may void warranty coverage.
MAKING A WARRANTY CLAIM
Receiving Your Guitar
If your guitar is delivered in cold or very dry conditions, allow it to acclimate to room temperature for at least one hour before opening the case. This gives the instrument time to adjust gradually and prevents unnecessary stress to the wood and finish

Response time: We aim to respond to all warranty inquiries within 3 business days.
RJ Custom Shop reserves the right to determine the appropriate service method for each claim, and may request that the instrument be returned for inspection.

Natural Wood Disclaimer
Every RJ Custom Shop instrument is handcrafted from natural tonewoods. Variations in grain pattern, color, weight, and resonance are inherent characteristics of the material — not defects. Each guitar is genuinely one of a kind.
Limitation of Liability
RJ Custom Shop’s liability under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of defective components. RJ Custom Shop shall not be liable for incidental or consequential damages of any kind.
This warranty applies to the original purchaser only and is non-transferable. Warranty coverage may not be assigned or extended by resale.
