RJ Custom Shop guitars are handcrafted in the Philippines by luthiers trained under Japan’s Deviser / Aska Factory — makers of STR, Momose, and Bacchus. When Deviser / Aska scouted Asia for expansion, it was Filipino craftsmanship that stood out, saying our guitars had “tamashi” or soul.
Built on over 80 years of combined experience from RJ Guitars and Deviser / Aska, these guitars fully harness the talent, ingenuity, and craftsmanship of Filipinos with Japanese discipline, know-how, and technology.
Each Custom Shop guitar features RJ’s custom hand-wound pickups—developed over 25 years, made with USA components, and wound in-house.
